Welcome, photographs on this site have all be taken by Daniel M Pomfret, a travel photographer & writer. Daniel grew up in the seaside city of Wollongong Australia, where as a boy developed an interest in nature and spent most of his spare time exploring the coastline and nearby mountain forests. He received his first Pentax SLR camera at the age of 13 and began documenting his surroundings learning the art of photography along the way. Regular overseas trips with his family helped in broadening his photographic skills and knowledge.

Now twenty two years on, he still users Pentax products. He is a contributor to Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine and other online publications. Daniel also has a strong interest in aquatic environments and studied aquatic biology in Australia with the intention of working with aquatic animals after university. Daniel now lives in west London in the United Kingdom and is an professional marine aquarist and continues his travel photography around the world during his regular breaks.

Apart from nature photography he also has an interest in architecture, still, macro, and underwater photography from around the world. Travel locations include Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Maldives, Seychelles, Spain, United Kingdom and the US.
